Plymouth County Hospital in Hanson prior to its demolition. Opened in 1919 as a tuberculosis sanitarium, The Plymouth County Hospital operated under that name until 1982, when it name changed to the Cranberry Specialty Hospital of Plymouth County. With a redefined mission, the hospital continued on as a chronic care facility until 1992 when it was permanently shut down. Eventually, after years of decaying conditions, vandalism, and arson, the building was demoloshed in 2016.
